Why Using Tag Combinations AKA Tag Templates Will Supercharge Your Ops

The best efficiencies and productivity jumps are gained when your users do not have to go back to their reference notes or cheatsheets every time they have to build a simple UTM tracking link.

Our pre-set tag combinations, also known as Tag Templates solve a myriad of UTM tracking setup problems, including name variation for the same campaign, tracking tag variations, missing or mis-spelled tags, and more – which ultimately leads to inaccurate metrics and under-reported marketing activities.

1. Click & Add Templates

How It Works

  • Click & Add Tag templates work ONLY with our Click & Add tagging platform, which is best suited for browser work when grabbing a single link. They allow quick and easy combination of tags for cases when you repeatedly need to tag a blog link that needs to be shared across 10-15 websites.
    • Instead of trying to memorize all the links where you need to share your newly written blogs, just create a tag template and you no longer needs to worry about it.
    • You can create and store all your tag templates in Settings.
    • Tag templates are different from Campaign Templates in that they ONLY work with the Add&Click builder and all selected tags will combine between themselves, resulting with a lot of links. That is why we recommend using them for simple tagging operations, like promoting a blog across multiple websites.

Create your tag templates here. We give you the option to preview how all tags get combined together. Our recommendation is to use one content tag at a time per tag template to avoid creating redundant tag combinations when multiple content values combine with multiple mediums and sources.

Once you are ready, you can immediately find your template in the Click&Add Builder.

2. Drag & Drop Templates

Drag & Drop Templates are our next generation templates which integrate with our Excel Add-in, SalesFOrce, HubSpot, WorkFront and more for compless and completely automated workflows.

You can also use them on our platform.

We have a super easy Template Builder area that you can use to create and manage Drag and Drop templates.

Why Use Campaign Templates

Easy Governance

Drag & Drop Templates bring your entire campaign governance and management ops to a new, much more automated level.

They are great when you want to set up re-usable tag group combinations for every different type of campaign you are running. You can have a Facebook Organic Campaign Template or a Twitter Paid Campaign Template, etc.

Great for Busy Users, Beginners, and Multi-link Production

  • Using a template makes sure that our app will never let a user generate a link unless it has all the tag groups required by the template.
    • Sometimes at the account level you can specify a required set of tags (in Standardize Tags) but there might be different required tags depending on the campaign you are supporting.
    • The simplest way to handle different combinations of required tags is to use our Campaign Templates
  • The template will make sure that the tags included in it are ALWAYS required.
  • You can create variations of the same template with different values for the same tag group. For example:
    • Facebook Campaign NA can have Languages as one of its required tag groups. And Spanish and English can be set as the language tag values for this template.
    • The same template for CA can differe from the NA template in that instead of Spanish, it will have French in selected Language Tags.
  • You can structure your entire operations using Campaign Templates to make sure users never have to memorize what tag to use for which campaign and mistakes are reduced to a minimum.

3. Create and Manage Drag & Drop Templates in Folders

  1. Go to Templates>Drag&Drop Templates to start creating your campaign templates. You can have unlimited templates and folders.
  2. Create new folders by clicking on the Manage Folders icon shown on the image above. The page is also accessible here.
  3. Use the “+” and “-” icons to add or remove templates from folders.
