Best Practice Tracking

You need to have parity of campaign names between your tagging platform CampaignTrackly, your CRM, and your analytics tool. In other words, having the same campaigns in all 3 platforms ensures that your team has the same information across your reporting tools ans sales & marketing tools, and is able to compare apples with apples when it comes to campaign performance and attribution.

With CampaignTrackly this can be achieved easily and efficiently without spending hours of work on connections, development or code.

How to Connect to SalesForce

If you have a SalesForce account you can connect to it by going to our One-click integrations page, selecting the SalesForce Icon (as long as you have activated your API Token) and logging into your SalesForce account through CampaignTrackly. Nothing more is needed.

How to Select a Workflow that Meets my Needs

We have multiple workflows – and create many more for you very quickly – as long as you share your requirements. The best way to make use of our workflows is to review our workflow document here and test or simply set up a meeting with us – it will be easiest and fastest route.

Does Everyone on My Team Needs to Have a SalesForce Account?

Absolutely not – as an admin you have access to ALL CAMPAIGNS and as long as your are connected to SalesForce, all the campaign info will be sent automatically through your access.

Easy Peasy Setup of Campaign Conventions

CampaignTrackly gives you a super easy way to set up your campaign conventions – you can build even the most complicated campaign names requiring 20 elements or more – with just a few clicks. Watch this video to see how to easily create and clone campaign names:

What Do You Need to Get Started

  1. SalesForce or HubSpot CRM account (contact us if you need a different CRM)
  2. Define which field will populate the Campaign Naming Convention column of our Marketing Data – as it will populate your utm_campaign value (if UTM tracking) or what goes after your cid denominator (if Adobe)
  3. Go to UTM Tags>Campaign tag and select the 4th option (generate utm_campaign from Campaign Naming Convention).

Document Marketing Campaigns Here

You can create your Marketing Campaign manually, choose to automatically send them from/to your CRM platform, or decide not to document any marketing campaigns at all – it is up to you.

We do recommend populating your marketing campaigns for a connected and effective setup. And we make it super easy for you to share campaign information through our integration options.

The integration between SalesForce and CampaignTrackly works both ways – you can both send and receive data from your SalesForce account into your account here.

Marketing Campaigns Table

The Marketing Campaigns table can be used to document all your marketing campaigns for which you will be creating links throughout the year.

  • You can add campaigns manually.
  • The table can also be set up to automatically receive campaigns from CRMs like SalesForce and HubSpot.
  • You can auto-populate up to 7 Campaign object fields from SalesForce, for example. It takes up to 3 minutes for our platform to receive your campaign information and display it in the table.

URL Campaigns

One your marketing campaign has been sent to us, you can click the “URL Campaign” icon to start creating links for this campaign.

  • Go to Tag Libraries and select the 4th option in the utm_campaign tab to automatically auto-populate the utm_campaign tag values in your links from your salesforce information located in the “Campaign Naming Conventions” column of the Marketing Campaigns Table.
  • Automating this process allows for a uniform and error-free way of building reporting for your campaigns.
