17. Help, An Error Prevents Me from Generating Links

There are some instances when you will not be able to generate a UTM link. Here are a few examples that might be preventing you from using our tool effectively:

PHP Error

• One of your tracking tags has a sentence ending with a “?” or “!” character.
  • What will happen: you might see this error:

• How to fix this issue:
  • Remove the question or exclamation mark from your tag.

Strange “\” mark appears in my link

• You entered a tag that contains an apostrophe, but the the saved tag appears with an unsightly “\” between the word and the apostrophe in the UTM builder and in the link.
  • How to fix this issue: Just remove the “‘” apostrophe you are using and that will remove your link concerns.
